Equipment for catenary geometry measurement for Vehicle installation
Contactless overhead line diagnostic and measuring equipment, installable on any type of railway Vehicle (height and stagger)
The box contains the Laser, camera and power supply and requires a bracket that is attached to the vehicle.
CAT-V
Composition of the system
The system is composed by the following elements:
- Laser scanner (measuring unit)
- High resolution camera
- GPS
- Wheel sensor
- Power supply (power to be supplied from vehicle)
Laser scanner (measuring unit)
The measuring unit is a metal box that contains the laser scanner head. The measuring unit requires a bracket on mnounting vehicle to attach to.
The scanner works from the roof of the vehicle.
High resolution camera
The high resolution camera can be integrated in the measuring unit (laser box), or it can be installed in a different position on the vehicle, in order to have a better point of view. Camera can be removed and stored in its storage container. For more than one view, additional cameras are available.
GPS antenna
The GPS antenna is integrated in the measuring unit (laser box).
Wheel sensor
The wheel sensor is connected and synchronized to the measuring unit (laser box).
Power supply
Components for the system can operate from a vehicle supplied power source. (Rechargeable batteries are available as an option)

GPS COORDINATES AND GOOGLE MAP
Together with kilometric position along the line, also the GPS coordinates are measured, in order to find quickly and easily the measured position on a Google map.
When the graph of measured parameters is clicked, the software shows, on a Google map, the vehicle position in the specified point. Please note in the following example that all data, videos and maps are synchronized. This is a very powerful instrument to immediately find the position of measurements on the map.
CAT-V
HEIGHT AND STAGGER POSITION
The system is able to measure the height and stagger of contact wire in relation to the recorded distance.
CAT-V
VIDEO OF SURROUNDING INFRASTRUCTURE (PANORAMIC VIEW)
It is possible to install a digital camera, either on the roof or in the driver cabin that during measurements records a panoramic video of the infrastructure surrounding the vehicle.
You can have the panoramic view, pantograph view or a different view. The software is capable of providing multiple views with multiple cameras.
During measurement analysis the acquired videos are synchronized with the measured parameters and with all the other videos (if present).
