CAT-T
Portable Trolley for overhead line geometry measurements
CAT-T (Trolley) is a railway measuring trolley made by SelectraVision to refine the installation of new lines and to help control and maintenance of existing overhead lines.
The system is composed by a laser head that measures height and stagger of the overhead line contact wires, related to the kilometric position along the line
CAT-T : overhead line measured parameters
The trolley measures the following parameters:
- Height of contact wires
- Stagger of contact wires
- Kilometric position along the line
In the same time the overhead line measuring equipment can measure :
- (optional) GPS position of the vehicle
- (optional) overhead line video
- (optional) poles distance
- (optional) track cant + twist
- (optional) track gauge
- (optional) tunnels profile
Software for measuring overhead line
SelectraVision provides two different software for measuring overhead line parameters:
- Real time and recording software
- Data analysis software
All catenary measured parameters are synchronized together.
In the figure below, there is an exampe of the real time and recording software: the video of overehad line wires, gps position and overhead line height and stagger parameters
are synchronized together and shown during measurements.
Through the trolley it is possible to measure tunnels profile. Below an example of 3D reconstruction of a railway tunnel.
